Why WanderWise exists

WanderWise started because travel guides weren't honest enough. Too many "top 10 lists" full of places the writer had never actually visited. Too many itineraries that assumed you had no budget constraints, no travel anxiety, and infinite flexibility.

Every guide on this site comes from time actually spent in that place - staying long enough to find the second-best restaurant, the walk that isn't on any map, the thing that goes wrong and the thing that goes unexpectedly right.

We cover the USA and Europe because that's where we've spent the most time. We'd rather do that well than write superficially about everywhere.
